Happy Climate Hacks: A Presentation & Fireside Chat with Dr. Jiaying Zhao

Join us for a TED Talk presentation on Feng Shui’ing Your Fridge and other Happy Climate Hacks by Dr. Jiaying ZhaoProfessor in the UBC Department of Psychology. Hosted by Dr. Shannon Bard, Climate Venture Studio Lead & Entrepreneur in Residence, entrepreneurship@UBC.

​Following this TED Talk will be a Fireside Chat on the Happy Climate Project, a Q&A session with the audience, and a Networking Session. Learn how to be a happy climate activist and how to promote climate action in a positive light!

Location: ​This event will be hosted at UBC Robson Square in the entrepreneurship@UBC Innovation Space (room #1900), directly opposite the front doors by the skating rink. Walk across the lobby directly to the french doors to get to room 1900. Get directions.

​About Dr. Zhao

​Dr. Jiaying Zhao is a Canada Research Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability at the University of British Columbia. Her work uses psychological principles to design behavioural solutions to address sustainability challenges. Her current projects tackle resource scarcity, climate action, waste reduction, and biodiversity conservation.
