Venture Development Specialists

The Venture Development Specialist summer internship program is designed for UBC Sauder students interested in gaining real world experience working as consultants for entrepreneurship@UBC's venture portfolio.

entrepreneurship@UBC's Venture Development Specialist summer internship enables UBC Sauder students to broaden their experience in a thriving community of entrepreneurs and dive into BC’s tech and startup industry by working with the next generation of innovators. Here, the work you do matters as the ventures you support depend on the skills, knowledge and expertise you bring to the table.

What to expect

You will work with ventures across entrepreneurship@UBC’s venture portfolio, gaining familiarity with emerging industries and cutting edge innovations in technology, science and beyond. This is a chance for those early in their career to move the needle forward and help launch ventures who are leading the advancement of their industries.

The role of the Venture Development Specialist is dynamic; the projects you complete will explore a diverse range of industries, markets, products and services reflecting the diversity of the ventures themselves. This can range from identifying new markets and customer validation to building financial models and creating UI and UX designs.
